Jordan E. Spivack: Home
Hi, welcome to Jordan E. Spivack's website, where you can learn all about me and hear my music. Don't forget to download my recordings of "Echo, The Gecko" and "Toccata" for FREE! My newest CD, "Think Lovely Thoughts", has recently been released, and is currently available for purchase (hard copy) or download (mp3) from CDBaby.com and Amazon.com, and for download from Apple/iTunes, DigStation, GroupieTunes, and many others (see the "News Updates" page and the "Buy My CDs!" page - menu on your left - for further details). There are 10 new instrumentals, my "Musical Mood Paintings", which I composed, performed, arranged, and produced. To listen to excerpts, go to the Listen to My Music page, and click on the title, then follow instructions for download. You'll experience New Age - "Bellissimo" (hear an excerpt of this song now on the Listen to My Music page!), "The Miracle Of Life" (hear an excerpt of this song on the Listen to My Music page!), "Drift" (hear an excerpt of this song on the Listen to My Music page!), "Rainy Day Wish", and "Train Of Thought", Jazz -"Blowpop", "Salmon", and "Jordan ESP" (hear an excerpt of this song now on the Listen to My Music page!), Acoustic -"Kaleidoscope", and a bit of Dance Music - "Dance Me" (hear an excerpt of this song on the Listen to My Music page!), too.
Ever since I was a young child, I loved watching “Peter Pan” (the Mary Martin version) on TV. I still get a thrill listening to the original Broadway cast recording (1954) with terrific, inspiring and delightful lyrics and music by Betty Comden, Adolph Green, Carolyn Leigh, Moose Charlap, and Jule Styne. I’ve always been especially impressed with the scene in which Peter teaches the three Darling children to fly. First, Peter blows the fairy dust on them, then he entices them to “think lovely thoughts”, and before you know it, they’re flying. So I hope when you listen to this CD, the music inspires you to think lovely thoughts, and fly!
"My Provincetown", another of my CD's, can be purchased locally in West Nyack, NY, at Barnes & Noble Bookstore in the Palisades Center Mall, and in Provincetown, MA, at Muir Music - 212 Commercial Street (thanks, Nancy), Now Voyager - 357 Commercial Street (thanks, Mark), and Spinnaker (thanks, Dawn) - 3 Standish Street, or "Buy the CD" from CD Baby and Amazon.com (click on bar on left), and/or DOWNLOAD from Apple/iTunes, SonyConnect, or GreatIndie.com, or dozens of other Download sites all over the world! The CD is full of romantic and exciting music about one of my favorite places on earth. Make sure you read the thoughtful review by Provincetown Magazine on the Press page, check out the News. Then listen to "short excerpts" from any of the 10 CD selections on the Music page - click Broadband or Modem, or "Right-Click" on the title, then choose "Save Target As", then download to your chosen listening program ("open with"). Groove to the warm vibes of "Romance On Moonlit Bay", a recent Top Five Finalist in the New Age category of the 2007 Independent Music Awards (see News Page for details), the disco-driven "Atlantic House", the live acoustic piano version of "Commercial Street", the hot and jazzy "Café Blasé", the funky "Portuguese Bakery", and the swirling sounds of "Dunes". Click under the title of each selection to get the background story. Then Buy or Download the CD to get the full length versions.
